he was ready to tackle this other kid, but that kid had way too much speed built up and by the time he got to blake, he POUNDED him and tossed him to the ground! it was the hardest blake's been hit all season and while for a moment, my heart stopped, it started back up just as quickly when blake got back on his feet.
i am loving football. i would love it more if blake played the whole entire game (totally rare at this age and with a team of his size), but still. it is so different from baseball and it's just really fun to watch. everything about it is different than baseball and since that is the only sport we've played up until now- it's just been a really fun experience. i like that blake plays more than just 1 sport.
plus- he's so freaking cute in his uniform!!!!!
edited to add- blake doesn't like it when i say he got smoked. he gets VERY upset and insists that he tripped or slid.. or something. no matter how much i tell him it was awesome and he did his job on the field and sometimes that happens.. he doesn't want to hear it. and he doesn't want me saying it out loud to people that he got creamed. imagine his horror if he knew i posted this.

ah! love the uniform. he looks all cute and brett favre-like ;)
i miss him!
I love watching kids play sports. I love that you think it is cool that he got creamed. Too funny. I would feel the same way. You win some, you lose some. Better to have a blast than worry about it. And yes, he looks so cute.
I love the uniform!!!!! How cute!!!!
My nephew is in his second year of pee wee football...I went to my hometown to catch his first game of the season...as a sports guy...what impresses me the most is the sophistication of some of the plays these kids run...last year his team ran the option and bootlegs and had guards pulling off the line in running plays (I'm sure you know what all this means.)
And it was fun to hear the story of the first time my nephew got hit hard (he's an offensive lineman so he makes alot of contact anyway.) He picked himself up and patted the other guy and smiled and said "Good job." I loved that!
I hope Blake continues to love both baseball and football...the two sports that I've loved the most and longest.
Thats awesome!
he oughta play all the sports you can stand to haul him to.
they will help him all the way around in his life!
(if he chose that number then I'm claiming him as my own!!!!!)
jsull
Hey, nice number that boy's got! And what a cutie!
He's such a boy!
I love watching little kids play sports. They're so purely happy doing it. Except when they mess up, then they're purely pissed off. ;)
that is cute as heck!!
I don't stay in a city long enough for Hunter to get involved in a team.............I was a week late getting him registered for football this year, and the lady told Me ......NO........haha
you must be super proud!!!
haha!! That's cute. He would be soo mad you!! Thanks for visiting my blog! Yours is too cute!!
oh that's so awesome! Watching your kid play sports is the greatest.
You'll appreciate this as a softball catcher. Madison had a girl take her out at home plate recently. Whish, her legs went out from under her and she popped back up like nothing. It was the best!
Go Blake-ster!! Woo-hoo #69! tee-hee, yeah he's your kid!
TOO CUTE!!
My mother hated it when I played rugby at school as she was convinced I'd be crippled even though there were only a couple of kids anywhere near my size and the others were much smaller.
There can't be many better feelings than runing with half a dozen people hanging off you, trying (and failing) to stop you.
You are such a proud mom. I love it.
Oh my gosh! I love the uniform! He's going to be a heartbreaker one day.
Too bad he'll never get to play in snow, like real football should be played. Number 69!
Awww how cute is he in that uniform!!! Of course if it were a 49ers uniform it would be cuter. =o)
oh, so cute! my coworker's kid just started soccer, and little kids just look so adorable in their uniforms!!!
blake is scrappy. that's a good thing.
any coincidence that his number is 69?? i am a big perv and i know you are, too. hence my question.
